The title of this post may come as a platitude, but I love insisting on it because, when I do, I get this feeling that things are actually getting better. I am chosing to be an optimistic here, as you can see, not just because pesimistic people are boring, but also because I honestly believe that there are symptoms of improvement in the state of the world. Even in the midst of economical struggles and ridiculous unemployment rates, there are reasons to believe that the obvious change is for the good. I was reading an interview to Ernesto Castro, author of Contra la postmodernidad, which convinced me that I have actually been lucky enough to witness the world transforming through today’s generational changes. I would like to illustrate this change by bringing forth the memory of the Orsai case, a beautiful cultural proyect whose creators are living proof that being optimistic is worthwhile. El título de este artículo puede parecer una perogrullada, pero a mí me encanta recalcarlo porque me lleva a pensar que las cosas realmente pueden mejorar. Ya ven que voy de optimista, pero no es solamente poque el pesimismo es propio de gente aburrida, sino porque sinceramente creo discernir síntomas de mejoría en el estado del mundo. Incluso si el munto está en medio de una crisis financiera sin precedentes y los índices de desempleo son de orden ridículo, hay motivos para creer que se este cambio obvio traerá cosas mejores. Leer una entrevista a Ernesto Castro, autor de Contra la postmodernidad, me ha hecho ver lo afortunado que soy por poder presenciar la transformación del mundo a través del cambio generacional de hoy.
